Insanely Good!
Backbeat were the perfect addition to our wedding celebration in Hotel Minella in December. We had to postpone several times and John was a pleasure to deal with throughout - swift to respond and so accommodating. On the day itself, the lads were absolutely brilliant - they're a seriously talented bunch. They did an insanely good version of the song we picked for our first dance (the guitar was perfect!). The set list was perfect and the DJ set after was just as good. I may be biased, but it was definitely some of the best live music that I've come across at a wedding and many of the guests have confirmed that opinion. It was a smaller wedding than we had originally planned and I was a bit concerned about the dancefloor being empty but Backbeat had people dancing from start to finish! Thanks a million lads!

The Band that Makes a Difference!
Backbeat played at our wedding in Clonabreany House on the 29th of October 2022. They were absolutely unreal, kept the dance floor hopping all night long and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending them. A band really makes a huge difference to your wedding day and I can most definitely say they made our day as magical as we’d hoped it would be. The Best in the Business
THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS! Backbeat played our wedding at the Abbey Tavern with about 70 guests from the U.S. in July 2022. the dancefloor HOPPING!
Backbeat played at our wedding at the beginning of May. We were initially a little concerned with guests as we were just finished with two years of restrictions, and of course we all were building our social stamina back up. WELL.... The lads had the dancefloor HOPPING! We needn't have worried about a thing. It was magical in ways, to witness people having fun, dancing and grooving the night away. I also have to comment on how amazing the lads were in the months leading up to the wedding. Music was definitely the most important aspect for me personally. I come from a family of music lovers so it's bred into me! I had some requests which were honoured and I can't thank Backbeat enough for that. John was an email KING, always responded quickly, was so professional, we always felt assured (which is pure handy during a pandemic!) We knew that the night of music would be top notch, and it was. If I could give more stars, I would!
We booked Backbeat without having seen them live. We were impressed by their YouTube videos, but nothing could have prepared us for just how amazing they were! The dance floor didn’t empty and everyone is still commenting on how good they were! Also, despite the fact that I organised them myself, they were so easy to deal with and lowkey while setting up that I felt like someone else had done it for me. There was just zero hassle, they’re sound lads, and the playlist was amazing. I can’t say enough good about them. If you’re thinking of booking, do it! If I could give more stars, I would!

Great mix of Music
We booked Backbeat for our wedding in March 2022. We couldn't see them live before booking which we were a bit nervous about but they were absolutely brilliant! They play a great mix of music, which is what we were looking for! Once they started, the dancefloor was never empty and lots of our guests commented on how good they were! Highly recommend!

Highly Recommend!
We hired Backbeat for our wedding in Moyvalley Hotel on 18th March. We had to take a little risk as we hired them based on reviews, YouTube clips and clips on other social media platforms and due to Covid we were unfortunately unable to experience them live. However that risk paid off, the lads were absolutely fantastic and rocked the house, nobody left the dance floor, there were many of us with sore feet the next day. I can't thank the guys enough. I would highly recommend backbeat for your wedding or even to just see them play a gig!

So many Compliments
We had the pleasure of having BackBeat play at our NYE wedding 2021. We had the restriction of the 12 o'clock finishing time but John worked so closely with us right up until the last minute changing plans as we needed. They made sure we got the most out of our evening by setting up really promptly and only having a very short break to allow our guests to grab some evening food. From the moment they started to play the dancefloor was full, playing a great mix of old and new tunes. They also learned our first dance song and sang it live which was lovely. We have had so many compliments on band and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the guys to anyone.

Just Absolutely Amazing
All i can say is WOW!! Backbeat played throughout the whole day of our wedding on 27/04/18, in the church, the reception, the evening entertainment and the DJ. They were just absolutely amazing from start to finish. They played a variety of every type of music which was great as there was a mixed crowd ar the wedding! Outstanding!!
OUTSTANDING! John and the band played at our wedding in July this year. I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the very first email, John was so relaxed and professional it really put us at ease. The band played music all night that suited the crowd and kept the dance floor full at all times, including John the DJ after the band finished. The weather was fantastic (a little rare treat in Ireland) and we asked the band, minutes before set up, if it would be possible to play outside for our guests. They excitedly agreed. My husband and I and all 100 guests have never had so much fun dancing outside under the stars on a sunny Irish night. Every single guest at our wedding complemented the band, and commented on how much fun they had dancing outside and how friendly the band were. We booked Backbeat after seeing them locally and then going to watch them at a wedding which they organised for us to attend! Always really prompt with replying to queries and no request was denied! You will not be disappointed
The guys were an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout the entire process. They were incredibly easy going and relaxed in our correspondence and on the day. They were at the venue early in case we were ahead of schedule (we weren't!) and were super quick to setup and get the party started. In terms of sound and atmosphere the guys were phenomenal. They took our personal musical tastes into consideration and delivered an absolute killer set that kept the dancefloor full the entire night. Myself and my husband never left the dance floor from start to finish and so many of our guests commented on how amazing the band were. I couldn't recommend these guys enough. Both myself and my partner work in the wedding business so we see around 50 bands a year as part of our job. As soon as we heard these guys we knew they were the band for us. If you manage to book them I promise you you will not be disappointed.

Genuine. That is my strongest impression of Backbeat. As a professional musician myself with loads of professionals in our wedding party we were so impressed with their sound, performance style and attitudes. Backbeat were an amazing band to have at our wedding. Leading up to it they were open and easy to communicate with, always friendly, accommodating and positive. They even went out of their way to to help me with a last minute request without a moment’s hesitation or complaint. During the wedding we were blown away by them! They instantly had us all up dancing and laughing together. They got involved with us and interacted in such a friendly, genuine way that we all felt that they were part of our group, and we were part of theirs. They did their homework, knew who we were and gave us all their honest interest and concentration throughout the night. They were consummate professionals with up to date equipment, and a genuinely kind group of guys. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you guys!

So Professional & Accommodating
I got married on the 25th of August this year in Palmerstown House Estate and Backbeat were a breath of fresh air. We had booked two bands for the day. It was a Scottish/Irish themed wedding and I wanted to have a Ceili band as well as Backbeat. Two days before the wedding the Ceili band refused to perform at the time they agreed to perform at and insisted on taking Backbeat's spot. Although we didn't want to change we were forced into a position where we felt as though we had to. We gave Backbeat a call and immediately they were willing to change for us - No questions asked. In fact, they still showed up at the originally agreed time (9pm-11pm) to set up even though we had to swap them to 11pm to 1am. They were so professional and so accommodating and not only were they a great group to deal with but they are very talented! One month on and our guests are still talking about how great they were! They had everyone up dancing and played a great selection of music! On the day they were so friendly to myself and my guests. I could not rave more about how amazing they were as business men and musicians! You won't find a better band anywhere. If I have any future events they will be my first choice in a heart beat! Thank you to Palmerstown House for recommending them and thanks to the lads for being such great craic and adding a great atmosphere to my day. It wouldn't have been the same without you. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! <3 <3 <3 (FYI: The Ceili band called me the day before the wedding and said that we'd have a 3 piece band instead of the 4-piece band at no discount and they wanted their original time slot back! We felt that we couldn't rely on them to show up and cancelled them because of it - Such a relief!) They weren't missed and I wish we had planned on just having Backbeat from the beginning. I can't thank the band enough. You made my day!

Outstanding
Backbeat played our wedding in Cork on the 8th July. They were fantastic from the minute we booked them. So professional and helpful and despite my five thousand emails they always remained upbeat and accommodating. The music on our wedding day was outstanding. We are both musicians and work within the industry, we have so many friends that also do the same that were at the wedding and everyone was raving about the band. They kept the party going all night and looked after the sound for the other band we had. We had the best night and can only thank Backbeat for contributing such a huge part to the day. They're fantastic!

Unbelievable Professionalism
We got married yesterday on the 16th of August and had Backbeat as our Wedding Band. Even during the uncertainty Covid-19 threw at us having to change dates and cut numbers, John helped us through the whole thing as was incredibly patient and understanding. best decisions we made
We had our small wedding on 19th September and honestly I think keeping a live band was one of the best decisions we made. Specifically this band! John was so easy to communicate with, always very responsive, and they put such an incredible show in the 3 hours that we did'nt mind at all finishing at 11.30. The early curfew was something I really worried would impact the fun of the night, but absolutely everyone got up to dance from the start, there was such a mix of classics that it catered to all ages in the group. So it truly felt like a full wedding & I was so grateful for that. Choosing our wedding band was one of the things that we put the most effort in to, turning to the music expert in our lives for help, as we didn't want a country or cheesy vibe. Backbeat have such a diverse set list, with plenty of rock, indie, classics & pop, we were so delighted to find them & that they were available! It was also really helpful that the deposit was refundable until we saw them live, probably not possible at present but you really needn't worry as they will put on an incredible performance and ensure an electric vibe. We couldn't have been happier with the outcome!

great music and not the usual "old fashioned wedding band"
We recently had Backbeat play at our wedding in the Mayson Hotel in Dublin city centre (September 2021) and the band were fantastic! The dancefloor was full from the moment they started until they finished the set. One of our main goals for the wedding was to have great music and not the usual "old fashioned wedding band". Backbeat did not disappoint. I really cannot rate them highly enough, we even had a few additional song requests which the band learned for the day. The guys were really friendly and easy to deal with in the run up to the wedding. The set list was full of great tracks from the 80's, 90's and 2000's and some great guitar based versions of modern songs too. They also played a great version of our first dance song which we loved. We would highly recommend Backbeat for anyone looking to have the dancefloor full for your wedding! They were the icing on the cake at the end of our big day!

Just Great
Backbeat are a great band and one of the best I’ve encountered, As good a band that you could ever have for your wedding ! We had this band for wedding after lockdown. We were worried they might be rusty but that was certainly not the case , they had the dance floor full all night and people of all ages were praising them the next day.

Backbeat gave a truly outstanding performance at our wedding in The Westin on 18 December 2021. They arrived into the room and setup in next to no time and, from the moment they began to play, the dance floor was packed with our guests dancing to great music. They engaged with the crowd throughout and knew just how to keep everyone happy with a mix of music old and new across their entire set, reflected in the mix of our older and younger guests dancing together throughout the night. The switch from live band performance to DJ set was seamless and the hits just kept coming too. The dance floor was full from the second the band started
BackBeat played our wedding in November 2021 and we were delighted with them. They were brilliant, a great range of music which appealed to all our guests... from old classics everyone loves no matter what age to 90/00s tunes and of course an epic Maniac 2000! 🤣 The dancefloor was full from the second the band started and everyone had an absolute ball. We really wanted a great party atmosphere because it was the first event our guests were attending after 2 long boring covid filled years and BackBeat delivered that! Amazing & Dance floor full all night
We are so happy we booked Backbeat for our wedding. We had shortlisted six bands and after seeing the lads at their showcase we knew they were the band for us. They were so easy to deal with and on the night the rocked our wedding. Full dance floor all night. Highly recommend the guys.
