I will guide you through the process of creating a bespoke ceremony with you, ensuring that it expresses your love and commitment to each other in a unique, personalised and meaningful way and reflects your beliefs and wishes, personal stories, philosophy of life, and personality. I will help make the planning through to delivery of your ceremony as stress-free and simple as possible.
As your Solemniser I will create a bespoke ceremony for you which will be modern, upbeat and yet can include traditional and ancient rituals. I will create your Ceremony in full consultation with you in order that the service includes everything you would like. Your Ceremony will be legal, bespoke, personal and bridge the gap between church, civil, spiritual or humanist; whatever type of ceremony you wish for I will make that wish come true!

This ensures that the atmosphere on your wedding day maintains the integrity of the commitment you are making to each other and is informal, relaxed, enjoyable, fun and something both you and your guests can look back on with fond memories for years to come. I only hold one wedding per day so you choose the time of your Ceremony and if that changes for any reason I am available.
You may wish to include personal vows, readings, ancient rituals such as handfasting, quaich, sand ceremony, ring warming/blessing, ceremony of light to name just a few. You may want a ceremony full to the brim or more low key, the choice is yours.
I have taken a vow of inclusivity and welcome diversity of gender, orientation, colour, nationality, ability and culture within the bounds of Irish law, and I have no requirement to speak about any parent organisation during your ceremony.
I offer a quality service & professional delivery, I have been creating Ceremony since 2006 and love my job. Over the years I have held Ceremonies in hotels, castles, on Irish Islands, mountain tops, beaches and on the Cliffs of Moher. I invest my time and energy into each ceremony that I create.
I can advise you on the legal requirements for getting married in Ireland when we meet, virtually or in person.

Brenda... Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for our beautiful bespoke and fun service. You 100% made it so special for both of us, right down to the hand wrapping, the sand & the broom! Our fondest memory will be how you allowed our guest to have fun & banter while also displaying a really professional element to our service. We also appreciated how you were able to include the young adults into the service (unbeknownst to them prior to the service!). We are still in awe at how well you could put our service together for just us, based on our questionaires, this shows how much effort and passion you put into your job. Every one of our guests were so impressed with the service and how it was delivered. Brenda was an absolute joy to work with.
During our initial conversation she ran through the running order for the ceremony itself. This included ideas around readings, periods of reflection, places for musical interludes and specific ceremonies such as a sand ceremony, handfasting and ceremony of light. We were then sent material for readings and vows as well as a questionnaire to fill out which allowed Brenda to create a very personalized celebrant address for the day. Once we had made decisions on the various parts of the ceremony we were then sent a draft of the ceremony. There were no issues with making amendments to suit our needs and Brenda was very keen on including family and friends during the ceremony itself. On the day of the wedding Brenda arrived 2 hours beforehand to set things up and to ensure things were perfect. All of our guests commented on how lovely and personal Brenda made the ceremony. We would have no hesitation in recommending Brenda to any couple looking for a wedding celebrant. She really helped in making our day very special and made it completely stress free for us.

Well what can we say Rev Brenda O’Grady did an amazing job from start to finish. Our wedding had been postponed a few times with covid and Brenda carried our date forward for us. Our Ceremony was amazing it felt like Brenda had been part of our lives forever. Everyone who attended our wedding said it was the best ceremony they had ever seen. We had a few different ceremony enhancements, Celtic hand fasting, a truce Bell and sand Ceremony, it all flowed so well Brenda even joined in on our theme of having a Paddy’s day wedding and wore green. Our Ceremony was so personal and meaningful!
Brenda was so easy to deal with and develop a rapport with from our initial contact. Brenda provided a broad framework with lots of ideas from which to build our bespoke ceremony. Brenda was flexible on the day as we were unsure how much our children would engage with the ceremony. Organising times to meet virtually with Brenda was always easy. So many of our guests on the day commented on how personal and meaningful the ceremony was.
