Situated in the picturesque village of Castletown Geoghegan, County Westmeath, Mount Druid is an exquisite parkland of 100 acres. The purpose built Tin Chapel, Boathouse, Barn and our custom made accommodation nestle sympathetically into the landscape and offer the opportunity for a bespoke wedding to remember. the Murphy family have an affinity with nature, they take great pride in their role as custodians of the land, having planted over 200,000 trees. they cultivate and grow as much organic foodstuffs and fuel as they can. In a County renowned for its rich agricultural heritage, Mount Druid is also a working organic sheep farm.

THE TIN CHAPEL
Marriage ceremonies can be carried out in our “unconsecrated” Tin Chapel, an intimate, alternative and quaint gathering space nestled among the pine trees on our site. the Tin Chapel is perfect for a simple blessing or a full ceremony.

THE BOAT HOUSE

Our converted Barn is a unique venue – custom designed for your Wedding meal, whether you choose a relaxed BBQ or a formal sit down meal and followed on with dancing the night away decorated in a gorgeous combination of vintage chic with antique and restored furniture, we can seat up to 220* guests. arts and crafts wallpaper frame the entrance into our beautiful garden room, where you can relax by the open fire while taking in the lovingly restored walled garden.
