The Sanctuary

Courtyard
Our cobble lock courtyard, with its pretty florals, is the perfect entrance to the bit of old warm charm that is The Village Barn, an ideal gathering space for a pre-ceremony drink.
Our on-site chapel - known as The Sanctuary - is a perfect choice for your wedding ceremony.
The Orangery
Following the ceremony, your guests will cross the apple tree lawn to enjoy pre-dinner drinks and canapés in The Orangery - our charming reception room with its own outdoor patio area. With its glasshouse-like appearance, quirky mismatched soft furnishings and a roaring fire in...
the colder months, The Orangery will keep your guests comfortable and toasty. Our prosecco shack and fully stocked bar will keep the afternoon thirst at bay.
The Barn
Will comfortably hold 180 guests. It boasts panoramic windows which bring the rural setting indoors. Old school desks, mismatched chairs, antique chandeliers and quirky treasures add to its character. This room also features possibly the cosiest corner of the venue, with candlelight, comfy armchairs and a roaring fire.
Willies Bar
The Village Barn has its very own public bar, open every day serving locals and visitors alike. You can be guaranteed a warm welcome, a good laugh from the bartender and an open fire all winter long. The lounge is a perfect retreat for a quiet drink and with careful attention paid to the cleanliness of the lines you can be sure of a great pint, be it Guinness, draught beer or cider!

To all the gang at the Village Barn, we just want to say thank you for such a wonderful day. From the minute we seen the place we knew there was nowhere else for us. The sun literally shone down on us that day. Everyone was so helpful & friendly on the day & a special thanks to Amy & David for all the planning. Our guests really enjoyed themselves & we are still getting compliments of the food, venue & the craic. Whoever books with ye again will have no regrets. We only hope we can go back again as guests sometime.

From the moment we met Amy from The Village Barn we felt at ease. Her calm efficient nature and knowledge of her role allowed the most appropriate introduction to what can only be described as a beautiful welcoming venue. You could not ask for better people to facilitate any event. We were treated so impeccably. George, Michael, David and every member of the team was warm, helpful and dependable throughout our stay. Their flexibility allowed us to take advantage of the beautiful weather and venue. We would thoroughly recommend them and would love to do it all again.

We can't say enough good things about The Village Barn and the staff. In the lead up to the wedding everyone we communicated with was so helpful and friendly, they were a dream to work with and made everything easy and straightforward for us. The day of the wedding was amazing! The place is so fabulous and quirky, and we got amazing photos. The day was so relaxed and fun, and all our guests commented on how beautiful it was. The food was delicious and great value for money. We had the most special day, and I couldn't recommend The Barn enough.

The barn is an absolute gem. The grounds are so beautiful and charming. It is definitely a very unique place to get married for people who don't want a traditional wedding. We loved every second of our day. The whole team was absolutely wonderful and made planning the wedding from abroad (USA) easy. Amy was great in preparation and on the day, she listened to what we wanted and made everything happen even better than what we had imagined. She ensured the whole day ran smoothly and gave us guidance when we needed. The guy (sorry can't remember his name) who ran the bar on the day and drove the bus at the end of the night was brilliant. Helping us avoid conflicts with family who were trying to pay for things we didn't want them to! Everyone raved about the venue and food. We had them cater for a gathering we did the night before and it was also fantastic. The associated accomodation was great too. Not run by the Barn but everyone loved it. Overall, 10/10 loved the Barn, would get married here again! We're sure it would be great for any type of wedding, but we can't imagine a better place for a casual, fun filled wedding.
