Top Picks of Irish Wedding Films | Looking at Style

Last year saw a massive increase in brides & grooms booking videographers for their Wedding Day. One of the main reasons was because they wanted to relive every moment of their special day, not missing a beat!

We absolutely love it when couples can relax in front of the camera – why not enjoy the day after all your wedding planning and budgeting?! Our main discovery on how to do this is: TRUST the person behind the camera. Choosing your Wedding Videographer is a hard decision and not one to be made lightly. That’s why we’ve put together a range of videography styles for you to choose from, to suit your own personality!

Here’s a lineup of when couples got it right; a match made in dream-wedding heaven! Each story is a triumph, told from the videographer’s perspective:

Bride and Groom Films – Richard Finlay

“This was a wedding where everything fell perfectly into place – a combination of the weather and the light, a stunning venue/location at Castle Leslie, and people being in great spirits. The moment when Laura’s father sees her and they both experience a crescendo of emotion before the ceremony even starts is a moment that future generations can look back on in delight. There’s a beautiful exuberance to this piece in its movement and pacing, and I couldn’t imagine a more perfect representation of the love this couple and their friends and family share.”

Martin Healy Films

“One of my favourite wedding days of 2018 took place in Bellingham Castle  at the start of the summer heatwave. Fate decided that both Hadil and Stuart would have to travel many miles from home before they would meet in New York. Hadil had dreamed of a castle wedding and Stuart knew just the place…

A wonderful couple in a fabulous venue!”

Dreamscapes Wedding Films – Martin Gleeson

“One of the things Antonia and I love about this job is being able to share the happiest days of people’s lives with them! And what’s even better is that people keep asking us back to film the next family wedding! Sylvia and Finbarr’s wedding up at Crover House Hotel in Navan was one of those and had everything needed for a great Irish wedding: friends, family, lots of laughing, a few tears, romance, slagging matches, a super venue and sunshine!!! It was just so wonderful to catch up with people we hadn’t seen in a while and it certainly didn’t feel like a day’s work!”

Diga Video Production – Lukasz Jamroz

“There was so much love in the air throughout the whole day at Amy and Joseph`s wedding. Intimacy, happiness and laughter, it was all there. How to create the perfect recipe for your wedding day? Maybe they will share the answer with you…

This wedding will stay in my mind for a long time. Amy and Joseph were such a natural and real couple. It was like tiny dashes of love dust enchanted all guests, making the day into an incredible event, a memorable milestone for everyone.”

Gaffey Productions – Patricia Gaffey

“The reason we picked this wedding: our groom! Shane just speaks from the heart and what probably all grooms think. Our couple is completely themselves and they just cannot hide the love they have for each other.

The venue was a tent on their private grounds with a hired catering company and for the photoshoot, we went to the River Shannon at a secret location in Athlone. There was a big “hello” when the Viking ship passed by…!

We had lots of fun with our couple on their wedding day and they were so natural, it was really hard for us in the editing station to cut it all down to fit it into one online highlight song.”

Quinn Video – Ronan Quinn

“We’ve had many successful years here at Quinn Video. We like to stay on top of our game by attending workshops and to keep pushing our creativity.

One wedding that sticks in our mind was Mallory and Michael’s elopement on the Antrim coast.

There was a last minute change of location, which meant lots of logistics (without letting the bride know – so she didn’t freak out!). It turned out to reveal one of the nicest locations I have ever shot in in Ireland – Kinbane Castle.

We are so grateful to all our couples and looking forward to working on future weddings with real zest.”

We hope you enjoyed this emotional rollercoaster as much as we did! To sign off, we are leaving you with a final word from Multi-Award Winner, Gerry Duffy  in his podcast with Founder of Wedding Suppliers, Cathal Molloy…
